Don't we all want to feel valued? Every one of us should feel as though we belong and are valued. Sometimes we are treated far less than we deserve. Many of us can relate to numerous occasions where our efforts were either overlooked, undervalued, or unappreciated at home, work, church, school, etc.
In as much as we'd want others to make us feel valuable, we should always treat ourselves as though we deserve only the best. Many times we're too hard on ourselves. We too are guilty of only treating ourselves well, occasionally. When was the last time you took yourself for a treat, other than your birthday, anniversary, etc?
Do you know your worth, and what’s worth your time? When was the last time you complimented your amazing self? When was the last time you pampered yourself? When was the last time you gave yourself a rosy smile and a big hug? When was the last time you took a break from everything else to spend quality time with yourself? You can't always depend on others to make you feel valuable. If you don't know what you're truly worth, you'll always be treated less than you deserve.
I read an interesting post on Facebook recently. It was about the price of a bottle of water at different locations. It was the same brand of water, nothing changed except for the price and the location where it was. If you bought the water at a local supermarket it costs about $0.50. If you bought it at a gas station it costs about $3.00. If you bought it at an airport it costs about $5.00.
Depending on where you are, you'd either pay more or less for the same brand of water. What is your total worth? Like the water, some people will seek to estimate your worth. Some will treat you like nothing. Never allow anyone to determine what you're truly worth. Know when you're being valued less than you deserve. Be among those who appreciate your true value, not those who diminish it.

Everything you’ve done deserves your favorable awareness.
Be it your relationships, your successes, and your triumphant failures. They all led you here.
Today, pause to recognize and celebrate the big things and little things.
You accomplished them.
Turn your attention inward and cheer for the things you have yet to bring forth. Accept them as done.
Celebrate all that you are made of and who you are becoming.
You are worth it.”

“There are so many people whose minds do not belong to them. There are so many people whose thoughts have been purchased by people. There are so many people who have made people kings and queens of their thought. There are so many people who cannot sleep because of people. There are so many people whose lives are a small percentage of their own self and a greater percentage of others. When the offenses of people occupy your mind, your mind becomes the offenses of people instead of your own mind. To have your own mind and to be your own self, free your mind!”

Take-away:
- People can only treat you the way you allow them to.
- No one can ever make you feel inferior without your consent.
- If you don't know what you're truly worth. You'll always be treated less than you deserve.
- Sometimes we get so comfortable not doing anything worthwhile with our lives. We get so used to, surviving. God knows that we’re so much better than this. Life sometimes throws us off a deep end. Just so we know that all this time we possessed the ability to rise higher than we’ve ever been.
